Canes 2019 C/1B Garrett Browder commits to Davidson

Canes 2019 C/1B and Fike (NC) product Garrett Browder has committed to Davidson College and Head Coach Dick Cooke. During the 2017 season Garrett played under the direction of Head Coach Tim Lau on both the Eastern 2019 and the South 2019 team. Canes GM Dan Gitzen had this to say about Garrett. “Garrrett Browder is a great example of an incredibly hard working player who puts in the time and effort on and off the baseball field. Garrett’s exceptional grades opened the door for him to play at high level D1 baseball programs but his ability level on the baseball field is ultimately what afforded him the opportunity to realize his goal. Garrett has soft hands, is an above average receiving and blocking catcher. He posses a strong arm and a commanding presence behind the dish. Offensively he has above average power at the plate and is a consistent run producing bat in the middle of the lineup.” We want to congratulate Garrett and the Browder family on his commitment to Davidson. You can see Garrett with the Canes Central 2019 team in 2018.
