Canes-Gallaher capture Perfect Game Super25 13U Super Qualifier

Canes-Gallaher went 5-0 for the weekend to capture the Perfect Game Super25 13U Super Qualifier in Greensboro. This championship was a little different than past titles, as the Canes had two come-from-behind wins in Sunday’s bracket play, including roaring back from a 7-1 deficit in the quarterfinals to take a 14-7 victory and coming back from trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh in the championship game to earn a walk-off win. In a true team victory, the Canes used 11 different pitchers in the tournament, and every player on the roster reached base at least once. For the weekend—which saw three Canes teams make the final four of the event–Canes-Gallaher outscored opponents by a combined score of 57-19. The victory qualifies Canes-Gallaher for the PG Super25 for the second straight year.
