Canes Mid-Atlantic 13u Gold wins Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship in Piscataway, NJ

This weekend the Canes Mid-Atlantic 13u Gold team with help from a few of the boys from the Eastern NC team ran thru the field at the PG 13u Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship in Piscataway, NJ. The team went 5-0 scoring 64 runs and giving up only 19, in the championship they defeated the Mid-Atlantic Show 11-0 behind the arm of MVP Pitcher of the tournament Sean Williams. He threw 5 shutout innings then handed it over to Cameron Aycock who finished the shutout off with two scoreless innings. The bats started hot and never cooled off throughout the weekend, Jimmyll Williams lead the offense and was named Tournament MVP. Both Sean and Jimmyll were rightfully named MVP Pitcher and MVP but they will be the first to tell you it took a complete team to dominate the tournament like the Canes did. Michael Floirendo, Austin Cannon, Landon Parker, and Connor Scanlan had very good weekends at the plate as well. Also winning the tournament wouldn’t have been possible without strong outings on the mound from Floirendo and Jack O’Day in key pool play victories agains Tri-State Arsenal National and Frazier Downtown Academy, two very solid ball clubs.
